Fourteen saxophone students from Farmingdale High School traveled to the Mansion at Oyster Bay to perform at the New York Association of Pupil Transportation's (NYAPT) April meeting. The students played approximately 25 minutes of classical and folk chamber music ranging from the Baroque era to modern-day arrangements. Matthew DeMasi, FHS Band Director, expressed that the students were thrilled to journey outside school to showcase their talents at a live 'gig.' They enjoyed practicing and performing this additional music beyond their regular band activities.
